My husband and I stayed at the Eresin Crown Hotel for 3 nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. The hotel staff was fantastic! Every detail was perfect! The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The Turkish robes and soft large towels were inviting and cozy. The bed was firm but very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was included and delicious! It was like Sunday brunch every morning! The location was ideal as it is in the heart of Istanbul's historical sights. The best part of this hotel is the staff. I forgot my phone charger - one was brought to our room for me to use during our stay, on my husband's birthday a delicious care with candles and a card was delivered to our room for him. Taxi's, directions, maps, bottled water, coffee, tea, cookies, fresh fruit and more were just some of the amenities that were provided daily. All complimentary! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return!
Guest CommentsWelcome to Istanbul
Incredible hotel in an amazing city!
Calm comfort in the heart of the city
This is an idea medium-sized hotel conveniently situated behind the Sultanahmet (Blue) Mosque. Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, food excellent, but what distinguishes this hotel is the level of service. I made a small complaint that breakfast closed too early (at 10 am) over the weekend, and on Sunday morning found that they had extended it to 11. In every way the staff were kind and solicitous. The hotel is built on the rubble of Roman and Byzantine Constantinople and the ground floor displays artifacts, and even part of a wall, from that period. Highly recommended and good value for money.Preserves the personal touch that many big-name brand hotels have lost.
I loved the Eresin Crown Hotel
If you're looking for a unique boutique hotel within walking distance of a lot of Istanbul's historical sights such as the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar, you'll find it right here. Even the Topkapi Palace is only a half-hour stroll away. The hotel is unique because I have yet to come across another hotel with its own museum, and the ancient artifacts and mosaics on the ground floor lend a certain charm to the reception and the hotel bar. Despite its central location, the hotel is surprisingly peaceful. The rooms, although not large, are very nice and elegantly furnished. Breakfast was a treat with so much food to sample. Unfortunately, the terrace restaurant overlooking the Bosporus was closed due to the cold weather. We found the staff to be welcoming, helpful, and attentive - not at all obtrusive. They attended to all our needs swiftly and even gave us Turkish sweets as a farewell present! I warmy recommend the Eresin Crown, a refreshing change from the larger, impersonal chain hotels.
I recomend this excellent boutique hotel
This exelent hotel has the best staff i have ever met, excelent location, near major sights of Istanbul. I felt myself at home during my stay. The hotel is also very charming, with an interesting museum. All the requests were imediately answered. A truly 5 star hotel, charming, best staff, excelent location, more than we could expect.
A post cruise delight-The Eresin enhanced our Istanbul holiday
We found this hotel comfortable, very stylish and so well placed for the major sights in this wonderful city. All its archaelogical columns and mosaics added much to the ambience .The staff were totally helpful.
An EXCELLENT little hotel
This hotel has the best staff I've ever come across. They're incredibly polite but friendly and always willing to help: from the reception staff to the bellhops and the waiters (during breakfast). We arrived really early in the morning and our room was made available before 9 am! We were also given a late check out the day we were leaving.
Although we were looking forward to exploring Istanbul and having breakfast at small cafés, the Eresin Crown offered such a wholesome breakfast that we ended up eating at our hotel every morning.
The location is great, we were withing walking distance to all the monuments and we often walked over to the tram station on Sultanahmet if we wanted to leave the area. The area is very quiet and feels safe until around 10:30 or 11 pm. It's probably best to be in a small group if you're out after that time.
A Real Gem
If you are not just looking for pleasure but also some unique features I would highly recommend Eresin Crown Hotel. The hotel itself is one with a rich historical facts and findings that you will find in the lobby and dining area itself. The location is absolutely great because it is just walking distance to tourist attractions like the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagria Sophia ,Grand Bazaar and museums. Taxi ride will not be a problem because just some meters away there is a taxi stand that are all reliable. You can save money on a half day tour by yourself. Also shopping will be easy because it is also near to the Grand Bazaar, Arasta Bazaar and there are lots of small souvenir shops around the area. If you are looking for genuine staffs like carpets, Iznik vases and ceramics just ask the staff and they will gladly tell you where to go.The staff is so accommodating and hospitable. They are all highly professionals not only in hotel matters but also anything regarding Istanbul. The breakfast buffet is just great from a variety to choices. Their terrace restaurant will already give you the idea of what to see in Istanbul. There is free internet service at the lobby with floral scent where you can do some personal business while having coffee and cookies for a very low price. Our room is very comforting with windows overlooking the sea. Very clean and well kept daily. It might not be as big as other hotels on the outside but I can say with a very big smile that staying here is a huge experience. Thanks to all the staff of the Eresin Crown, you made our vacation a wonderful experience !
Quietly stylish, very comfortable, excellent service
I have stayed in countless hotels around the world and this was one of the nicest. It is very conveniently located with most of the major sites and many restaurants within pleasant, easy walking distance.
Our room was of average size, furnished to a high standard, very clean and with plenty of storage space. The bed was comfortable and they have a "pillow menu" so you can select exactly what suits you best.
The hotel is built on the site of the Roman palace and the foyer and ground floor restaurant incorporate part of an original wall, a mosaic and other artifacts which make a very pleasant change from the usual hotel furnishings. I believe the hotel is formally listed as a museum.
The breakfast was very good, comprehensive and varied, with a wide selection of fresh fruit even in late October.
Although it doesn't look so from the outside this is a small hotel which is generously staffed and the staff take a personal, highly professional interest in their guests: they couldn't have been more helpful.
